My name is Ei and I am the founder and owner of ‘Cookie & Chewkie’.
Here’s a little bit about me…
I am a passionate animal lover from the heart. I grew up living with many kinds of pets from hamsters, budgies and parrots to chickens, cats, dogs, and a pony! After many years being exhausted and suffocated in my 9 to 5 office job, I decided to start doing something rewarding in life. When I was working full time, waving Cookie (my beloved Jack Russell Terrier who lost his cancer battle in May 2020) goodbye before leaving for work was the hardest thing and it broke my heart every single time! I personally found it difficult to find a reliable and caring pet minder who could take care of my Cookie as I do. I know most of the doggy moms feel the way I feel, and I wanted to be the one who can offer the peace of mind, and a licensed pet services in the name of Cookie was born in the beginning of 2016 and I have never looked back since! Caring for dogs is my full-time job now!
2020 was undoubtedly the most difficult year of my life! I lost my little boy Cookie to cancer, and my income has gone down to zero during the first lockdown! Thanks to my kind, caring and supportive clients, I got back on my feet and could continue running my little business.
Chewkie, my red floofy teddy bear, moved into my home and my heart permanently in January 2021. I wanted to celebrate his life and gave him something beautiful in his name like I started a business in Cookie’s name! After two months of creating Chewkie’s Instagram, I realised there’s nothing more relevant and relatable than creating a dog accessories and apparels brand for Chewkie because he can rock anything I put on him and I became obsessed with styling him. I was also inspired by many other small businesses who are doing a brilliant job and ‘Cookie & Chewkie’ was born in July 2021!
